Just a side note to the Barstool producers: Please put the plosive screen back on Whit’s microphone. Or give him a new mic. Or don’t let him use words with the letter “P”. Or roll off his voice at 150Hz. My car speakers would really appreciate it any of these options. Jesus Christ.
I also think he's altering his game a little bit on the fly to try and future-proof. The 10-and-2 stuff is fun, but it's not going to be sustainable for 10+ years, especially as games and little (and big) injuries pile up. He's needed to clean up his defensive game and develop more of a passing game too. I think the lower goal numbers right now are a part of that. I could see him having a year this year where he has 29 goals and 65 assists or something like that. I'll take a down year in order for him to reach the next level when the Wild are released from cap hell in 2025.
