If the trade was a 1st straight up for JP, I'd do it. Andersson is a huge bonus, if you ask me.

I'd most likely say no because Puljujarvi could develop into a star because he's still young but he is demanding a trade so what can holland do right?
In order for the Oilers to get that first round pick, its gonna come at the cost of someone. Ethan Bear no way. Caleb Jones, probably yes.
We have 3 solid prospects coming up the pipe, Samarukov, Bouchard and Broberg. They have to fit somewhere. I don't think the Rangers will want Saomorukov and we aren't trading the other two, so….

I think you would take this deal if it’s on the table. However I would not forget that there is value is just keeping Puljujarvi in Europe. This sends a strong message to players that they do not call all the shots. Puljujarvi staying in Europe likely prevents prevents a repeat of this tactic an that in of itself has tremendous value.
I think Jesse wants to play in Finland and not the NHL. Too far out of his comfort zone.
Ill be surprised if they trade the lottery pick.
Lias andersson looks like he can play up and down the line up. He has skill. Supposedly a work horse, who doesn't like that. He would be signed for another season after this one.
Watching YouTube clips he score a lot of points on the PP.
The NYR have two 1st round picks for the 2020 draft. 1) The Rangers own pick & 2) The Hurricanes pick they acquired during they Brady Skjei trade. So if the Rangers did trade a 1st pick I see it being the Hurricanes pick. Also, the rangers have a plethora of defensive prospects. They would ask for a forward.

JP is not worth a first and a prospect as good as andersson. both have struggled to play in the nhl but the only difference is jp played with mcdavid. he’s a bust
Rangers will not give up one of their ones for JP. They have no 2's and 2 3's. I'd imagine they'd give up one of their 3's.
It seems like Anderson for JP straight up is not enough. But Anderson plus NYR 1st is too much for JP. So if there are talks about this transaction it’s what else can both side add to make it even.
It’s an unusual trade because both kids are unproven and unhappy. Now picks and other prospects are involved.
Interesting… I’ll say this though there’s even more motivation for the Rangers to go after JP because they need a buddy for Kakko. The idea is if he has another Finn on the team Kakko will be happier and more relaxed. He feels lonely away from home and no one to talk his native language to.
Thats too much for Puljujarvi, i mean Andersons = Puljujarvi, that 1st is just stupid, i would say okay to something like Puljujarvi for Andersons and 2nd
