Every team has a star, and sometimes multiple stars. Toronto has their superstar in Matthews, I would say Matthews is where the bar for superstar begins. If every team has a superstar then it loses its meaning. These are supposed to be very special generational talents. Players like Nylander and Marner just aren't that, doesn't mean they're not good players in moments they can even carry the team on their backs. However they're not Matthews, McDavid, Ovi, Crosby and to claim they're on that level you either have to be delusional or their agent.
