Oh sorry Hollywould I forgot you were to busy thinking about your next camera shots to be in the moment for 60 minutes, huh?Just be an NHL Hockey player Hollywould the rest is distracting you, yes the stubborn refusal to just go silent and focus on the Team is a problem man, its not healthy. I know that skinner isn’t a starter but I still feel like the oilers coaches needed to pull skinner after the 3rd goal. He looked all over the place the whole night and I could tell he was off.
This game taught me that the top level hockey teams will need elite goal tending to be competitive. This goalie got out skilled by the other goalie. It's a shame we had to blow $25 mil on a AHL level like Campbell. Skinner is good but we need a legit veteran goal tending that can clutch.
He did make a couple massive saves in this game, but he also let in some insane softies. Stamkos should’ve scored 1 of those, not 4. Kucherov should not have been able to sneak that one by. I would love Stu as a backup and feel like he could be a solid 1b, but he is not starter material
Skinner knows he was going to get ripped to pieces by fans after that performance. 2 goals on 4 shots? This one's on Knoblauch. Didn't have the balls to pull him. Everyone knew Skinner was going to have a rough night 2 minutes into the game. It takes a win streak then a loss like this to know the losses at the beginning of the season were on Campbell and Skinner. Apparently multiple 40 shot nights and a 55 shot night tonight are just not enough shots to motivate Skinner or Campbell. Skinner and Campbell just can't handle the most fractional, teeny weeny amount of pressure. Vassy glaringly demonstrated what a real playoff goalie looks like. Skinner is getting paid exactly what he should be paid, maybe even over paid, back up goalie money. That's why Campbell's contract is one of the worst contracts in NHL history. I always said Skinner and Campbell both have serious issues between the ears, Skinner just does a better job of hiding it. Doing a post game interview after this atrocious performance is a perfect example of Skinner hiding his on ice mental composure issues. He wants us to think he's this cool customer, but he's not. He was nervous from the drop of the puck. That's called inexperience. And that's why at this stage in his career he's a back up goalie. He needs years to develop into a #1. I hope this game sealed the deal for Jackson to get a legit #1 goalie. If Jackson believes Skinner is the absolute best goalie we'll have for the rest of the season then this team is in deep deep trouble.
