  1. It doesn't make sense for any of the teams. CBJ don't even have a issue with scoring, the issue is defending!

  2. Thats a terrible trade. Werenski and Laine would be a good pair for anyone to pick up,I guess, but not for a whole line and a bit… what??

  3. James Tanner's articles are very often cringe. I just roll my eyes whenever I see his name on Editor in Leaf.

  4. First of all without an extension in place CBJ don’t even think about doing this. If ZW can get this return what would Jacob Touba be worth his NMC expires at the end of this year so we trade him to TOR for three number one picks then we sign Nylander as a UFA and also get rid of Goodrow then we have the cash to sign Nylander his dad played for the Rangers and knows Dury who we trust well

  5. Can't believe legorocks is posting something related to James Tanner; a.k.a. "The Clown". A six year-old child has more composure and logic than James Tanner.

  6. Why on earth is anyone even mentioning one Tanner's articles?
I'd sooner write and ask Dear Abby who the Leafs should trade for.

  7. Only a leafs writer would think a trade revolving around Nylander could be the "biggest blockbuster trade in history" 😂😂😂

  8. There’s no guarantee Nylander will re-sign with the Leafs. The proposed trade is an overpay, but doing nothing risks putting the Leafs where the Raptors currently find themselves: not having traded point guard Fred VanVleet by last February‘s relevant trade outline didn’t solve any other glaring issues that Masai Ujiri and Bob Webster had had plenty of time to sort out during the off-season. Instead the respective President and GM twiddled their thumbs, doing as little possible, with the Raptors’ 10–14 record following last preseason not even good enough for a play-in spot (with any team below 6th, but above 11th, in each NBA conference, automatically entered into that tourney).

So, where is F Vivino? He signed a Supermax contract for the Houston Rockets. Will Jerry or Webster do the same thing with Pascal Siakam, OG, Anunoby, Scottie Barnes or Precious Achiuwa? Some will in June become unrestricted free agents, unless re-signed, while the upcoming NBA trade deadline is in early-February. Will Treliving, before the 2024 NHL trade deadline:
    – trade Nylander?
    – re-sign the winger?
    – repeat what Ujiri and Webster did with FVV?

The above is a good question to ask, considering that so far too many of Treliving’s deals haven’t been good for the Leafs.
