Watch as Ottawa Senators’ Brady Tkachuk receives a game misconduct after coming after Carolina Hurricanes goalie Pyotr Kotchekov for tripping him on a penalty shot attempt.
I'm so sick of hockey. This is the captain of a team? Oh sure, he's "passionate". Unfortunately, this is also how 10 year olds treat officials, and parents treat officials all across the country. Hockey needs to take a page from Rugby. Only an on-field captain can speak to a ref…and first has to ask permission. Then they can talk about something. But just yell at a ref for a decision…? you're gone. Respect for ref and opponents is embedded in the culture of rugby. I've played both sports at good levels for many years.
I actually think it was a penalty shot. Because like. Even though it was accidentall him dropping his stick to the left when he moves go the right takes away that lower bit on the goal. So why not just do that every breakaway? That can stop the puck going in if you as the goalie get deeked by the player
IMO, if the team doesn’t score on the penalty shot they should still get the power play after the fact. Penalty shots are kinda worthless on their own.
You gotta respect this goalie. Not the first time he stands up for himself. First with Brad Marchand is one of his first playoffs games and now today with Brady Tkachuk.👏👏👏
I see a lot of cry babies in this comment section. Everybody wants sports to be how they were back in the day when it was actually intense, exciting and physical. But they complain when things like these happen and it softens every sport. This video was hilarious and shouldn’t even be worth fighting over. If you guys can’t handle something like this then go watch flag football. What’s the point in watching sports without a little drama? Get over yourselves.
