  1. LOL he had 39 goals last year and is having a rough patch but still, you dont trade that for a old, soon to be UFA second pairing Dman.
Maybe if the flames took Myers retained and added Sharangovich. Something like this might be fair value (teams needs aside).

  2. Oh god please no. Trading away a young up and coming goal scorer with tons of potential for a 34 year old defensemen. Just no. Please no.
that said, if this were still the Benning era, he would be throwing in a 2nd to get the deal done.

  3. If they do this, it’s literally a Benning move. Trading a younger, offensive player going through a slump for an aging defenseman who will be a UFA next year. A rental. I’m not an NHL GM and neither is anyone else here, but wow. Tocchet is just burying him and his trade value because he doesn’t play a gritty game. You can’t score 39 goals from the 4th line. Sure, his shooting percentage was unreal, but that was because he was getting prime PP time and if you had him and Boeser on the first unit with Pettersson, Miller and Hughes, you’d have 2 guys who can bury garbage goals all day long and teams wouldn’t be able to target any one player. I know it’s hard to criticize a team when they’re doing well, but lately they’re a .500 team. Bruce had a good run, too.

  4. Kuzmenko for Hanifin sure, maybe. You know what we'll throw in Myers for free too because you've been good trade partners! And you're down 2 defensemen now. So….

  5. Tanev rental cant be worth more than a 3rd. I view Kuz like a prospect, an expensive one. Super talented high and potential, if he can just improve on a couple things he could be a 60-80 point nhl guy easy.
