Ritchie scores game-winner as Ducks take Game 7 over Oilers
Nick Ritchie scored the game-winner to get the Ducks a 2-1 win over the Oilers in Game 7 to book a date against the Predatorsi n the Western Conference final.
A game 7 has finally been won and I can now die happy. On another note, great series Edmonton they truely showed that they can go far in these playoffs. All they're missing in my opinion is that little experience to play in the playoffs and they truely have it now. They're going to be deadly come next season.
Congrats to the Ducks on advancing to the Western Conference Final. Congrats to the Oilers on a great season. Was rooting for them since they were the underdog in this series, but they put up a great fight! The future is bright for them that's for sure 🙂
What was lucic doing on Ritchies goal? First he lets Perry skate by him with only a half hearted attempt at a stick check then he lets Vatenen skate right by with no attempt to stop him. Lucici looks totally lost out there. Actually he played the worst hockey ive seen for the first two periods of game seven. Every time he got the puck the play died.he either coughed it up or made a bad pass. he should have been benched in the third not put on the ice with a short bench or the goalie pulled.I guess anybody can have a bad game but hes only going to get slower Dump his salary.
One hell of a season Oilers. Making the playoffs for the first time in a decade. Getting to the second round, forcing a game 7 and losing by only one goal. You proved that you are not the underdog anymore. Thank you for a wonderful season. Maybe in the future McDavid, Draisaitl and the boys will lift the Stanley cup. One day. Congrats Anaheim.
From Calgary here…props to the Oilers for doing so well. The Flames couldn't even get one win with Vatanen and Fowler injured, and the Oilers play the Ducks with both in the lineup and STILL take it to Game 7.
Even after 4 illegal goals scored by the Ducks (illegal line change, goalie interference, offside, and goalie interference) in the series.
So major props for fighting through all that and never giving up.
For all the stupid people saying edmonton a few years from now… no the time is now. after next year they're gonna have to pay out huge for drai and mcdavid. Their best players are under rookie deals the time to win was and is now before they actually have to pay the talent on their team.

Ducks should relocate, they are a great team and deserve a real fan base (there are a few pricks: Kesler, bieksa, perry) but regardless they are a very skilled team and deserve better.
