Im genuinely wondering what you mean by "exciting hockey" Kings are 2nd in goals for. They are a scoring machine. Which is fun to watch. Lol
Always love it when people understand that playing against the KINGS is futile.
The Kings are very exciting. High powered offense that is electric. I believe they are leading the league in goals scored per game even handed. And their team defense is the best– period. It's the big reason why the goaltending is better. Goaltender just needs to be solid. Very few second chance shots are allowed. Their D-Men have been outstanding– every one of them. The big surprise has been Englund, who has developed into an imposing shut-down d-man on the left side. Big hits, clearing men out from in front of the net, good in the corners, and moving the puck well with precision- he's been a huge pickup. And all of their young guys have elevated their games dramatically. This team is for real, as they go for the record of road wins to start a season without a loss. They are 9-0 on the road and will go for the record against Columbus. I agree that they will try to add an elite netminder at the deadline. I will remind everyone that they have a lot of young talent developing in juniors, overseas and in college– in addition to what they have on their minor league squad. They are in position to keep a sustainable winner for many years.
Kings have played Bos, LV, Tor, TB , FL, STL to name a few this year. They are second in NHL in scoring with 4 goals per game Avg. They give up 2.5 per game. There leading scorer is Kempe, he is tied for 28th in the NHL in scoring. The Kings have 9 road wins in a row to start the season. The record is BUF in 1983 with 10. The Kings have the ability to out score you, or shut you down. They do not rely on a specific aspect of the game to win. They are a complete team that uses all players to win.
Arvidsson is still out and will be back later this season as well.
Does McDavid go to Chicago? Is that a strong possibility?
PLD is playing 3rd line. And the Kings have played Vegas 2 times one they are 1-0-1 against them.
Speaking of the Kings has anyone paid attention to Brandt Clarke? He's currently the top point producing defenseman in the AHL let alone only a few points away from leading the entire league! Has to be a runaway for rookie of the year at this point.
After watching the two games the Kings have played against Vegas so far I think they could take them in the playoffs. The Kings dominated the Golden Knights in Vegas 4-1 and lost in a shootout in LA. Copley also just shutout Montreal so if he can get back to 2022 for masa backup they will be solid.
Aside from the goalie issue with Edmonton, it's the team defense that's sorely lacking. It seem like they are leaving the goalie out to dry.
Trade Mcdavid to the kings since we have the prospects and we know how to build an organization from top to bottom ! Canada teams are hella overrated. And supposedly this is their sport 🤣
You people really think MCD might be "Done"? He's been playing hurt and looking better every game. He only had 4 assists last game but he's coming around. Best team they had in the playoffs with McD was last year, where they were 2 Solid Vet D men from a great chance at a Cup.
You first have to get rid of ken holland & this trade will be a good start because with holland at the helm he would find a way to still ruin that trade idea
