pp is 🗑
I'm convinced that surgery fucked with Caulfield, his scoring should not be this atrocious
I’m so tired of this! We need offense… I can’t remember the last time habs had a real 6top… Suzuki isn’t a top line Center and Caufield it’s playing like usual and Some how Slafkovski is our best player! Anderson, Gallagher, Dvorak, Savard, Allen, Pezzetta even Mathson need to go I thought we were almost done our rebuild be we are gonna need to go to the drawing board and restart from 0 and Marty buddy! Fix your damn strategy cause it ain’t working
It turns out that the (H) does stand for hockey. The owner of the New York Ranger nicknamed them the Habitants in 1924. And it stuck. The team's (CH) logo came out in the 1916-1917 season. 7 years before the nickname. I love learning about our HABS! 👊🏻🏒🥅
Are these Canadiens better than last season? Looks like we're headed the wrong way.
I always wanted Burrows to get sacked ever since they hired MSL. I'm convinced we have the most predictable pp in the league.
I wish we'd be better at losing, the re-build is quite a few years away, even if Lane Hutson is the second coming of Quinn Hughes, Quinn was defensively terrible until this year.
Dach out, Caufield not scoring, Too many injuries,Not being bad enough to get a good draft pick, Not scoring alot of goals at all… man this season is so boring
Brutal loss??
Wait! Nothing’s happening?
You just reported a day ago that Slafkovsky is TERRORIZING the NHL!!
I’m confused.
Please clarify.
I think it might be time to admit that the Canadiens is incapable of offense, the jokes were easy to make about the Islanders or the Devils through the years, but when was the last time the Canadiens were leading in goal scoring in the NHL ?
2007-2008 and it was a fluke ? Nop, Ottawa beat us by 1 goal if you get rid of shoutouts artificial goal, but ill roll with it anyway, last time we were leading in goals Kovalev had his best season, Plekanec as well and both Higgins and Kostystin had over 25 goals, in total 7 guys over 50 points and 3 number #1 goaltenders in Huet, Halak and Price. Hell Dandeneault wasn’t even registered as a defenseman for the year.
Scoring was also down bad compared to today, but let’s stay positive and nostalgic, idk how far back we’d have to go without the rose tinted glasses.
Marty is not a coach.
I know Habs lack snipers when gally11 is taking three slap shots. Caufiled is too one dimensional – all he can do is shoot. We need an a-list forward
Last night we were great
Tonight we suck lol
On the pp second wave, we should use Ylönen instead of Anderson…that would be a better spark imo.
I've always HATED the drop pass for zone entry on the PP. It's rarely effective and wastes valuable PP time.
I mean.. I looked at our starting 5 at Buffalo.. Suzuki, slaf, cc, Baron, guhle and Primeau on net… This team is young. This could be an NCAA team.. they are so good but still so young.. they are all
Wake up! Get rid of Coach St.Louis ! No experience in coaching but heh! He speaks French, the number one qualification for an applicant to coach the Habs. Are you not tired of this discriminination? Get used to being a below par team. So sad, so much talent being wasted.
I am not surprised that Cole is in a slump this is exactly what I eluded to when he had that slump with the old coach he is a perimeter player a one dimensional player he will have slumps. The only sad thing about the team is they blamed the old coach for his slump and gave Marty all the credit and same goes for injuries they blamed the medical staff yet we were having injuries again this year.
The team needs a new coach badly we play like a soft perimeter team and yeah the players are mostly soft but if we get more shots on net and players going to the net instead of lining up around the perimeter good things will happen.
What baffles me more than anything is that NHL players made it this far are not understanding you need to elevate shots on goalies who ALWAYS go down.
BTW for the patronizing content creators Slafkovsky was the ONLY forward to have a minus 1.
WHAT IS CONCERNING ? Years of undersized players on their asses all game …Why don't they use some of their extra Ds as forwards FFS ?
This is only the second year of a rebuild.i expected this.every team that went through a rebuild went the same way.people should just relax.i can see them getting better as we go.the trade capital is there for when they need it.i expect maybe one more year like this before we turn the corner.
Every loss today is a win five years from now. Habs need draft picks. High ranking 18 year old D and forwards. They also need players of real talent with size, as smurfs like Suzuki and Caufield can only do so much in the playoffs. Recent history of the Habs has shown they need a defense combo like the Markov/Subban teams, and /or a player on the back end that is of Shea Weber's caliber. NHL is still a defense first league and puck control league. As seen in Edmonton top talent on offense gets trumped by shut down D 5 on 5. Throw out three lines like the Knights on top of that with no real HOF candidates up there and you can ride a hot goalie to a championship.
Pretty sure a healthy full line up of caufield Suzuki Dach Newhook Monahan Pearson Slafkovsky Anderson Gallagher Matheson Guhle Barron Savard gets that second goal tonight. Not concerning. Take two of your top five forwards out of any lineup and that is going to effect production in close games.
Habs are brutal back to back, they can't score.
