@Vancouver Canucks

The Canucks just embarrassed the Minnesota Wild…

In this video I talk about the Vancouver Canucks most recent games against the New Jersey Devils in which all three Hughes brothers (Quinn Hughes, Jack Hughes and Luke Hughes) played in the same NHL game for the first time ever, in front of their parents, Jim and Ellen Hughes, and the Minnesota Wild. I talk about the Canucks’ recent struggles, their injury woes, Andrei Kuzmenko’s current slump and, of course, I scream “Nils ‘Big Hög’ Höglander” at the top of my lungs a couple of times and wake my neighbours. I also respond to all of your hot takes and give my two cents. Thanks for watching!

PS: If you’re one of the few people who watched the first half of this video when I released it yesterday, thanks for watching twice. My computer kept crashing yesterday and I wasn’t able to get the video out until 9PM last night and no one got to see it. I re-edited it and included last night’s game against the Minnesota Wild. I think this version is funnier anyway. Thanks!

  1. Yes, the Canucks should trade their proven young stars for draft picks. Galaxy brain move, Demon Xerxes 😂

  2. My computer kept crashing yesterday and I wasn't able to get the video up to my standards but to avoid missing a day, I chose to upload it anyway. I woke up regretting that decision and decided to fix everything I didn't like about the video while also adding my thoughts on last night's game against the Minnesota Wild. If you watched yesterday, feel free to skip to 07:29 for the new stuff but I think this version is funnier. Either way, thanks for watching (again)!

  3. the three Stastny brothers all played together on the Nordiques….. and they were all top scorers….. probably more than all the Hughes brothers this year.

    the Hughes brothers might have been more impressive if…………. we hadn't already lived through an era of Sedin Sisters.

  4. as someone who lives on the other side of the world and can only catch like one in ten games, is the reason kuzmenko is now on the fourth line purley points related or has he just been playing bad? Also how is Laffy performing on the Pettersson line?

  5. NOOOOOO, My comment got Thanos Snapped!!!! I was in the big time, showing up in a youtube video! JK JK, love the new and improved video.

  6. Really like my Canucks this season. They need to go on a run again and get some more space from the bottom dwellers. A couple of more pieces, like defence, would go a long way. But you are right Myers’s is playing too much. When he has a 12 to 15 minute game, he plays a lot better. I have a lot of hope for this team this year, I have been saying that for 50 plus years but I really believe it this time. Great videos!

  7. The Vancouver Canucks are GOOD!
    Hot take: Pettersson and Kuzmenko aren't playing to their FULL potential currently

  8. Everytime I see Hoggy score in a game now I just think "wow can't wait to hear @nuckhead say NILS BIG HOG HOOOOGLANDER tomorrow" lmao
    Also we're gonna win 4-1 over Carolina and Petey's gonna score

  9. the arena was absolutely exploding after the hoglander goal. cant even begin to describe the amount of excitement that was in there

  10. Hot Take: the wild dont actually have a 13% chance to win the stanley cup this year like the graph said, despite our coaching changes.

  11. Day 3 of positive comments;

    I don't understand where the f*CK your energy comes from but holy mother of god is it entertaining to watch. Keep up the excellent work.

    Also Hoggy line should be called The Hoggy woggy soggy line

  12. The sheer joy it is to be a Canucks fan at the moment.
    Hot take: How good would a ‘Johnny Canuck’ jersey in the ‘Black Skate’ colours be?

  13. I was lucky enough to be able to go to the Wild practice before the game, and after they were done and we had left, we saw head coach Rick Tocchet come out of the building! The game was amazing to watch and the goalie was amazing!

  14. why would you want to make goalies small enough just to break gretzkys recors? it would be the same because goalies would have to be given a handicap essentially. any record broken might as well have an asterisk beside it then. The game is tighter and the overall skill of everyone is way up form gretzkys day . there were alot of incompetent goalies and teams gretz got to play against who probably wouldn't make the ahl let alone the NHL. not to take take away from the great one .

  15. Hot Take: Vancouver is, and always has been, a great team. Their problem is the same problem that the Leafs, the Habs, the Oilers, the Sens, and the Flames have. Everyone flocks to US teams, and the Canadian teams are left to pick up the scraps, then struggle to find a way to make it into a Cup competitive team. Bedard could have held out to go to the Oilers, or the Sens, or the Leafs… but he wanted to stay on US soil, because the bulk of the up-and-coming talents have been scooped up by US teams for about the last 30 years. Talent follows talent.

  16. It blows my mind how often casual nucks fans throw demko under the bus. He’s a top 5 goalie that’s already stolen multiple games. Thanks for showing the reality of the GA
