  1. If i were Kent Hughes and another team calls about Matheson, I'm just hanging up the phone. This team is already struggling to score WITH him in the lineup. Could you imagine how much worse our season would look up til now without him? 🤮

  2. Keep shuffling the deck Kent Chromedome Hughes. At what point is there some continuity? Why not tap into Laval more?

  3. I would be shocked if they traded Matheson, I don't know who starts this stuff? Listen to what Hughes says though he doesn't say much, Math is the keeper.

  4. Do the Math . He will be moved while his stock is high . If not this year , n3xt year for sure. Unfortunately the Math here does not meet our rebuild. For when this team is a Stanley Cup favorite. The Math does not fit into the equation.

  5. I would trade Matheson for anything Guhle would be way better option on first power play and getting more minutes without him. Guy gives up the puck constantly

  6. I truly believe that the rebuild is almost built. Now it's a matter of time and experience, with less injuries. Every winner needs the vets. If this team is allowed to grow together, over the next couple of years, without losing those lockeroom stalwarts, they could be another Tampa Bay, or even better. The injury bug has really torpedoed the view of how this team is trending. Hang on to Monahan and Matheson. Lose a couple of prospects, and maybe a first rounder (high value) for a true #1 goalie is the only crazy Hughes' trade I could stomach. I like this team as it is. Marty realizes that lots of baby steps culminate in very effective strides. Yes, I'd hate to see a Harris flourish on another team. My gut punch from the Sergachev trade, is a wound that keeps on giving. But the "right" return, not a speculation, could make all the difference long term. The Canadiens cap is very friendly. Lots of players approaching "entry level" ends in the next year or two with market caps that are low due to the lack of scoring from this young team. Lock up a bunch at bargain contracts and sign one or two stars with all the money left over. Hell, McDavid might want to stay in Canada on a team that is trending up rather than with a team that has no momentum. There are so many unpolished pieces here right now. Give this team time to start to really shine.

  7. good, i like him but were rebuilding so bye bye for a first round, same thing with monahan, savard anderson, gally, armia, dvorak pearson and more

  8. So if you value Matheson as a bona fide 2nd pairing dman, getting a middle 6 forward prospect is far too little. Id need a top 6 prospect, assuming that they'd end up as a middle 6 player when all is said and done. Throwing in a pick around the 50th over all or worse doesn't mean anything to me .

  9. Matheson is playing very good hockey under challenging times. Whoever lands him will be darn lucky to get him especially if you do the costs/benefits analysis. The way this season has turned out with all the injuries, it is a difficult decision for Hughes to do but it must be done for the future.

  10. So everyday now, I see different player on trade rumors. At one point everyone else will figure it out this is click bait. I like you guys, but this is too much.

  11. Savard has history of being a beast in the playoffs , making amazing defensive play , don’t sell this guy short in a trade . But the habs will be forced to trade young defensemen regardless on if they do or don’t trade Savard. Having too many defensemen will result in bad evaluation in some case which will result in Montréal losing a few of those trades as those defensemen won’t have reached their full potential and value

Some times too much is like not enough, too many young guys around the same age in montreal

  12. bUILD FIRST ROUND PICKS but be aware of the future leaders of our team. Matheson is a power D and would lead any team in the future. Savard is a D oriented player and a playoff need but we need the Mailloux, Strusel, and BARRON, physical and offensive for the playoffs and partner with Hudson and Rickenbacher. Guhle and Mailloux is a gift to our future with Matheson to lead the rush on the ice Engstrom is a good mix of talent but we only need 7 or 8 D. A star winger SLAVKOWSKI ) with some size would give us our future with Beck, Mesar, and Farrell to round out our run for the CUP., GHG.

  13. Matheson wont bring in a trade what he’s truly worth. Chances are, teams that are in the playoffs will be the ones making a move for matheson , so it’ll be the old first roumder story🤦‍♂ a late first rounder doesn’t mean much when your scouting staff is one of the worst in the nhl

  14. Are you going to do videos on every stupid rumor? Cut back on those and you may get a lot more subscribers

  15. It's not necessarily high drafting that wins. Today's NHL is much more about style of play and prepared plays. And you can't just evaluate your own team, you have to evaluate winning management vs losing management. I understand why Hughes thinks team culture is important. I think it used to be important, but not in the cap era. Vegas is the best team in the league because they happened to be gifted with a very long period between the last expansion draft and theirs, so they were able to jump into the finals their very first year. That's not luck, it was a gift from the league. Seattle, only a couple years between the last expansion draft, they are dropping to the bottom of the league, it's that simple. BUT the NHL has a serious inefficiency. Sometimes defensemen are more gifted offensively than forwards and forwards more gifted defensively than defensemen. Bowman spoke about why he played Fedorov on D with Pierre Maguire recently. Doesn't have to be a Fedorov, but any forward, and with the pace of the game, it is outright silly to overplay defensemen who can't eat up over 20min. Look at Matheson – he can't handle over 20, but put him at 18 and he looks like Bobby Orr. I've change my mind about Hughes, I don't think he's a great GM at all. He's living in the past and is having trouble adjusting.

  16. PLEASE MOVE MATHESON SAVARD MONAHAN ALLEN. We dont need these old players and they have a bunch of value. Maybe all 4 to the Oilers for a bunch.

  17. wE NEED MAT as a leader with offence for the future with Hutson , Mailloux ,Reinbacher, on the up coming team, and tough ,physical D Guhle, Strousel, Barron and Arbor for a playoff run. We need a scoring tough winger to finish the team (Slav ?) with Beck , Mesar,, Farrell, Hutson, and Reinbacher joining next years additions to the lineup. great future.Thats a playoff lineup set for a cup run.

  18. I trust the Canadiens' Management to evaluate any deal. It has demonstrated its ability already. Team stability is not a priority at this time. The notion of obtaining quality draft picks in return for aging assets is the main focus, I think still. I would not hesitate to trade any 30+ veterans, regardless of performance, for a better draft positioning.

  19. HUGO should have their trade privileges taken away. They're gonna do something stupid again if not.

  20. This will be the best thing moving forward for Montreal. I called this at the beginning of the year. He's valued at a first and a prospect or two. Hearing you discuss this, the game is to advanced for you to understand it well. I unsubscribed, sorry
