The Maple Leafs’ site is outdated. Google results either don’t work or don’t have the game; TSN 1050 was a football game, and Sportsnet 590 was some guy rambling the same football junk over and over while the header said “7:00pm-9:30pm Toronto Maples Leafs…. “.
Sucks so much, Wolls not only playing the best hockey of his life but he’s also like the nicest guy ever. You never want anyone to get injured but out of anyone this is the last guy you’d want to get hurt. Hoping he gets a fast recovery could’ve seen him in an all star game if he kept it going.
Can't we jsut get a regulation win without strings attached? Woll's injury looks like a real problem.
The way the Leafs are winning games is concerning, the only reason Ottawa didn't win is Woll and the fact that the Sens' shooters could not finish. Leafs need to put together dominant performances, like many other teams do. The Isles destroyed Columbus tonight 7-3, when is the last time the Leafs destroyed a weaker team like that?
I hope Woll is okay and has a quick recovery. I looked up Jones on the NHL roster; he’s got QUITE an awesome record.

yeah i totally forgot they won today, regulation win and everything – the game ended, and i had that feeling of sadness and dread that i feel after a loss. though, tbh, i can't say im super worried about sammy-jones for a little bit – idk, i feel like goalies tend to pop-off randomly when they're put in a position where they absolutely need to. i have no stats or specific examples or anecdotes, just feel like it happens. like it's their fight-or-flight response, they just will the good saves into existence. i've got belief in sammy to pick it up from the start of the season :)) i just want woll to heal up and get well soon, for himself, and for my twitter timeline — like he literally just brightens my feed when i see a picture of him smiling :))))))

Ottawa is near last in the league and we barely won in regulation. Wow..we won in regulation!! That was a struggle! We are so fu**ed!
as a goalie i've had all kinds of muscle pulls and strains and they don't stop you putting weight down…that's gotta be a cooked knee. SO, who's ready for martin jones first leafs start in a couple days? leafs have 0 defence and 0 goalie. you can win sometimes with 0 defence and 1 goalie, you can win a lot with 1 defence and 0 goalie, but neither?…gonna make twitter fun to read i guess.

its like Woll was playing in a playoff game just fantastic kept them in that game to win. Woll was seen leaving the arena on crutches and will have a MRI hopefully its not as serious as looked.

I have never seen the Leafs play this poorly for so long lol. I can't believe how incredibly lucky they've been to be in this position. The luck they've had (at least with the results) is better than any year in the entire Matthews era.
That's why you want them to make a move. This could be magical. They're playing THIS mediocre (hardly even average) and they're winning games.
Tough to see Woll go down like that he had firmly took that number one job and was running away with it. Have full confidence he will keep it up once he recovers. He’s calm in there he moves fluently and seemingly effortlessly when he’s dialed in which is more often than not. As a caps fan I really am getting prime Holtby vibes from him.

I’m scared man Woll’s skills have been the only thing making up for the pissweak blue line. How many times this season have the leafs not deserved to win but did anyway thanks to Woll. I hope this is just a quick thing or we could be screwed
I’ve seen a fair few Martin Jones games from his time with the Sharks. Is he the best goalie ever? Not even close. Will he give you a chance? More often than not, yes. You could do way worse for a 3rd stringer.
Called it, the way Woll had to play, a groan or lower body injury was bound to happen. No defence letting your goalie hang to dry is play Russian roulette. Jones did a marvelous job despite being peppered.
Time to trade Nylander ASAP for defenceman or I predict a wild card finish and a quick round 1 loss in the post season.
I blame tree-living and Tavares for Woll's injury! If you look closely at last night's game, you'll see that Woll had to make no fewer than six 10-bell saves including 3 breakaways!! Tree-living has known for weeks now that the defense has been non-existent and did nothing about it! The leafs D left Woll hanging out to dry and were outshot 38 to 22. Woll was overworked and not supported. Then you have a parasitic $11M forward in tavares who is clueless and hopeless defensively and no better offensively and should never have been named captain! And finally, you have a coach in keefe who is equally inept and incapable of training and helping the defenders he does have become better at what they do. Keefe is useless! Feel sorry for Woll!
Martin Jones is impressive. Can he win 27 games with the Leafs, he could. I hope woll is feeling well soon. Ps Steve, I met Rick Vaive recently and I got his autograph.

i was watching the game in Vancouver at The Reagle Beagle, a LEAFS bar, and it was a full and lively crowd watching the play. When Woll went down, the entire bar collectively gasped and said "NO!!!" as if on cue in a Broadway musical. The bar went completely silent as Woll was helped off. When Jones came on, people said "Who's that?" Well, he showed us pretty quickly. He did a great job coming in cold after Joe Woll's Vezina performance. Bad news for Woll, but hopeful signs for the Leafs.
The Leafs are actually sooooo terrible. They cannot outshoot or outplay their opponent in any game. Now Woll cannot bail them out so they probably don't make the playoffs. They are so god awful and I doubt they will ever do anything.
They are the worst team to watch in the league right now. I know people will say they're doing good, no they're not. The Leafs are actually awful. I'm not sugar coating anything.

When you face 40 shots 5 games in a row and you're forced to do the Van Damme 5 times a game your groin will probably explode at some point. Leafs goalies have had a ton of injuries over the years. Andersen, Campbell, Samsonov and now Woll. I wonder why? Because they're required to make acrobatic saves over and over agian because of the house league team defense in front of them. Unbelievable .
