This is why salary shouldnt be predetermined. it should be based on end of the year performance. lazy stars will never push harder if they already know they will make money regardless of results, especially with this generation of kids. Nylander is a prime example, only trying so he get his contract salary, once he gets it , he will play mediocre.

Toronto definitely needs a top RHD and have for over a decade. Let's not forget tho how many teams don't even have a Reilly on the team let alone the forward talent Toronto does and yet they still put together as many wins this year.
