Max Pacioretty Beats Jonathan Quick With Soft Dump In From Neutral Zone
After the Golden Knights sent a rather harmless shot into the Kings’ end, Jonathan Quick whiffed on a bouncing puck, which ended up in the net. Quick was pulled after allowing 3 goals on 8 shots.
I’ve faced stuff like this before. Not gonna say there’s NOTHING u can do but there’s not much to do when it bounces like that I mean quickie pushed toward the puck, then it changed direction like what are u supposed to do. He excepted the puck to bounce into his pads so he’s not worried about the 7 hole. He’s focused of covering the lower half like u usually would on a dump in like that, but the way it was chipped in and how high it went and how it was wiggling in the air. The second it hit the ice it bounced higher then we thought and at an angle going the opposite direction it was looking to go. I mean it’s just a rough bounce and I wouldn’t fully blame quick, those bounces are harsh and unpredictable.
