Is someone coule humor me about à 2 shoulders serious injury ? And, if, MSL really had a bad « hockey sense » meeting for the way AX play his role as a D ? ‘Cause for me he was beige after his return from his first shoulder injury: not going to corners, not reverse a quick forward at the defensive blue line. He is the very main reason I was a steady viewer this season. I love the man…but is he the same player I’d ackowledge the talents?
Hire Roy and get a real coach.
I'd keep Arber over Martin "Joe" Louis
Fucking egos in Montreal, I'm fed up
He's coming back from an injury so sending him down for conditioning is all it is.
Maybe they want to give Struble a look until 9 games and send him down before they lose a year on the ELC. Otherwise their D are all set until guys are back from injury.
For all the analysts that I've been listening to since the beginning of the season MSL doesn't rip anybody apart.
Laraque is full of shit… always is… common Junkie you know better!
I hope they have a good reason for this. Fan and player favourite.
Nah, mtl has needed someone like him for decades. Besides, every youngster is taking cheap penalties so I can’t see why they would exclude him. Teams hated emelin’s hits but they didn’t fear him like they’re starting to with xhekaj
Marty should go back to coaching his kid and take Burrows with him
Message to mangment….. Quit f ,,, up OUR team
Conditioning stint…price and gally did the same thing
Laraque is the kind of guy who like to put extra sauce! I dont trust him at all!
his contract is up, he is not having a great year, him making the habs last year was a huge surprise, he can use time in the minors & there are so many d-men that need to be looked at during this rebuild. all these points add up to him going to laval. i mean who do you take out to put him back in? honda civic would be the guy i guess out of the 6 who beat the kraken. is wi-fi better than honda civic? pretty comparable but civic has more upside offensively therefore wi-fi gone for a while.
He’ll be back before the weekend.
No chance they trade Arber, Hughes too smart.
Ok. Here is where I'm at and I would love to hear other people's opinions related to this:
The Canadiens have a ton of defence prospects and eventually (sooner rather than later) they're going to have to move some out. Shuffling Arber to the Rocket gives 2 players the opportunity to generate some value. Hopefully they can move Lindstrom, Struble, or Kovacevic for a piece up front or a goalie prospect. With Kovacevic being less likely (St. Louis likes him a lot).
If it is Xekaj they're moving, they better get a good return because fans will not be happy about it. I'd have a hard time choosing between him and St. Louis right now if asked.
Conditioning & tweak his rub-out angles to prevent shoulder injuries? He is young and needs coaching. As it is, all of the Habs D men have some defensive read/positioning issues, and only a handful of the forwards help. They need better defensive coaches. Bring in Markov, he can help with the PP too. MSL needs help.
They're probably just easing him back into playing
Arber will be back. He is just too valuable. The Rocket are a terrible team ths year and he is likely sent down for a bit of conditioning, to partner up with Mailloux on D, and help get the rocket going.
Send xhakaj as a forward
Why would St. Louis do that? It makes zero sense.
While I think Laraque may be right about Wifi being ripped, I can't see him spending the rest of the year in Laval. He will go down for 2 or 3 games….he will get hungry again and he will be back up hitting, scrapping and popping in a few goals. There is NO WAY he is not back in MTL very soon.
This is nothing but a conditioning stint. He hasn't been able to even practice with the team as they have been on the road.
Laraque? Take anything he says with a big ass Newfie sized grain of salt. He is about as reliable as a wet fart.
Xhekaj going to Laval to get back in shape , no drama here , its better for Xhekaj to get back in game shape in AHL , in the NHL he's targeted…
It could also have something to do with Gustav Lindstom playing well, and not being waiver exempt.
they just want him to get some ice time stop blowing shit out of proportion
I'm going to disregard George's comments and here's why: Kent and MSL knew what they were getting with Xhekaj, it's no secret. They watched him play while at Kitchener, liked what they saw and gave him a shot to make the team, which he did. MSL talks about this team having swagger, Xhekaj provides plenty of that. I believe his trip down to Laval is a short conditioning situation while MSL and Kent get a longer look at Struble and Lindstroms development. In Kents last press conference he said some of the players you see today probably won't be here in the future (referring to their growth cap) saying some players may have reached their peak while others are still growing and developing. I feel Xhekaj is part of the long term future with the Habs while others are not. Looking at you Jordon Harris.
"let's lay all the beans and wieners out on the table" – omg hahahah is this a common phrase in Canada?
Absolutely cracked me up 😂
Now this one, when I first heard about it yesterday was immdeiately pissed and had me pissed off all night. I'm still pissed off and have to go to school (college) this morning with attitude-which sucks.👿….On the bright side- at least they won last night! Huge cheers to Monty, Monahan, and finally to Anderson!
Just a conditioning stint
It is a condition stint. He is not being demoted.
