About as good as it gets. Vasy looking unbeatable, 4 lines looking solid. Could’ve had 6-7 if not for some bad puck luck. Need to see this version of the bipolar bolts more often.

  2. Obviously a much much better game, only gripe I have is just being sure they limit the high opportunity scoring chances. Other than that, great bounce back after last games nightmare. Happy to see Vasi get a shutout. Huge confidence booster for him.

    Fuck Boston, Go Bolts!

  3. BigBuddha15

A much needed win that had a lot of the things we’ve been clamoring for including depth scoring especially from AC and a once-mythical breakaway goal.

Also, maybe certain people here calling Vasy washed just 4 games removed from back surgery with no training camp were just a bit premature?

  4. SwagFondue

4 goals all even strength, good to see. Also amazing how much better our team defense looks when we’re getting sticks in passing lanes and not no look passing along the boards.

Hopefully this sub gets slightly less miserable!

  5. dolewhiplash

A Vasy shutout, four 5v5 goals and two of them didn’t even need Kucherov on the ice…

Are y’all gonna get mad if I say we’re so fucking back?

(I know we need this consistently but also it doesn’t hurt to enjoy the wins as the happen)

Payback is a bitch and this game proves the boys still have it in them to be contenders.

  7. GeetarMan9

VASY SHUTOUT. Congrats Heddy. Kuch continues his Hart campaign. Tony Forecheck shows back up 💪

  8. All we had to do was get our ass kicked and we play better? Hope it continues against Pittsburgh.

  9. mrjjk2010

I’m really happy we won this game for Heddy. Had we lost I would’ve been fucking livid

  10. HannTwistzz

Great bounce back game, this team is so bipolar. Good depth scoring hopefully some consistency now and time to go on a run.

  11. Bigstakes7287

I want to say that Vasy is our elite goalie.

The way we played tonight was honestly very similar to the games against the Penguins and Yotes, ~2.1xGA and ~3.2xGF, but those nights they had above average goaltending and we had below average goaltending. Tonight we had Vasy being Vasy and they Otter had an off night. Awesome game, and this team *is* playing better than our record shows.

Defensive structure seems night and day. Saw this a few games ago too. I’m really baffled how this team can go into lockdown mode like this suddenly unless they are saying to hell with blashills system

LFG!!! Unfortunately couldn’t watch the game on this flight I’m currently on. But was able to watch the goal replays on NHL.com. Feels good to get a shutout boys and girls.

Serge/cernak have been looking fantastic, and de haan/Raddysh serviceable. If hedman and perbix get things righted we could wild card bitches

  16. GatorBolt

Huge bounceback, but mostly happy they turned up for Heddy’s night.

Reminds me to how we respond to losses in the playoffs. This was the first time I attended a game this year and it was a wonderful way to get back in!

  18. LukeSkywalker1848

These are the Bolts I know! Congrats Heddy!!!

  19. Three_Froggy_Problem

We really needed this game. Just a really good, solid win with 5-on-5 scoring, great goaltending, and good energy throughout.

  20. 2ndprize

Fun fact. Hedman is the lowest picked player in lightning history to play 1000 games for the team.

  21. Then_Ship1329

Holy crow Vasy was electric. It feels so good to see all the lines rolling. The energy level, the scheme, the compete level, all strong, all the way home.

It’s hard to overstate the importance of playing as the aggressor with the lead.

Great to see Glendening score on his old team.

I don’t know what they did differently defensively tonight but they need to bottle it. It looked like guys knew where they needed to be. Everyone had a little extra jump and confidence.

  22. Alterationss

Was at the game today and we looked great. My only concern would probably be the Paul line. Out of all the times we were “stuck” in our zone was when that line was out there. Their puck retrieval skills were pretty sub par. Everybody else looked great though.

My boy Watson really wanted to hit somebody today. Man was flying full speed into potential checks with no breaks but the pucks never sticked long enough to follow through.

  23. Tie-dyedHorse

Why is Hagel the first star with zero points?
