  1. Looks like you had a good time ! How was the recoil on that 300 Blaser ? Looks like it almost got you ! Any way my first thought was how we over think ammunition and Fed Fusion bonded soft point got the job done !!

  2. best straight pull is in my opinion the steel action from germany. It is less expensive than the blaser but such a good gun. If you have the chance to try it, do it!

  3. Hi Jim. Love the channel and always look forward to new videos. You do some great work.
As a European it’s always difficult for me to get my head around the American way of hunting. In Europe we concentrate on getting close and making a single shot to be as ethical as possible and to preserve as much meat as we can.
Keep up the good work and looking forward to more content 👍🏼

  4. Ha ha ha funny to watch this gringos struggling on these little hills not even mountains wait till you come to some real mountains in Durango or Jalisco ha ha welcome to Mexico 😊

  5. Blaser R93 and .300 Win Mag is a bad combination: there happened some accidents causing serious injuries in Europe. Better choose the newer R8 models.

  6. Hey Jim definitely looking at a 7prc I know it’s is a little outta the budget for most followers. However I’ve looked at quite a few rifles today and I’d really like to see a review by you done on the seekins havak which is now offered in 7prc

  7. Even if Blasers will come to the US market one day, they will still be extremely expensive.
I live in Germany, where Blasers are made. The cheapest Blaser you can get here is around 3300 € which is equal to ~3600 USD.
However, that's just the basic version. If you want a thumbhole stock, a wooden stock or anything else that exxceeds your absolute basic needs, prices will start at 4000€+.
Honestly, they build very good guns, but they are not worth the money. If you want a well made German straight pull rifle, just get a Heym SR30, it's far less expensive (still not exactly cheap, though).
Or you could just get the Beretta straight pull rifle for under 2000 €. It's a very good rifle as well.

  8. I am building a 7mm rem mag and looking for a reasonable scope spent to much on the gun build so need a reliable cheap scope looking at a Burris 8x40x 50 second focal plane can I have your honest opinion about it and might there be something out there better for around same price that you would recommend

  9. You are shooting like a panicking newbie, first time hunter, spray and pray not wanting to lose.

  10. I want a Blaser really bad, they are such an impressive system from the barrel change to optics mount and magazine. But yes they are prohibitively expensive… Although I have not priced extra barrels, but they may not be too bad by comparison once you figure extra barrels for having multiple rifles in one.

  11. Straight-pull actions are mostly marketed in countries where civilian ownership of semi-autos is forbidden. It reportedly offers a faster follow-up shot than a bolt. Savage marketing will likely target those countries. A better solution was the pump rifle such as the BPR and Remington 7600 (neither still in production). Pennsylvania still won't let you hunt deer with a semi and the pumps were a popular rifle back in the day.

  12. Blaser R93 is Not That Great and in germany its known for blowing up 😅

Check the Heym Sr30 ore the Merkel Helix

    Maybe Even an Haenel NXT

These are incredible straigt Pulls I own

  13. I'm pleasantly surprised that YouTube still allows videos like this, even if you guys are the worst shots. If I get any more free time soon I'm going to have to root around your back catalog.

  14. savage is such an awful gun. in any caliber or model. if thats your budget hold off and save up
