Babcock hindered Barrie's success in Toronto. He could have been great for us. Personally, I don't think Barrie is the kind of defenseman we need right now.
Who would want a defenseman who can't defend? Seems counterintuitive
as an oilers fan would love to see tyson back but i think cap is not workable. we would have to move someone out

As an Avs fan, I'd love him back but much depends on Sam Girard. Barrie was just loved by fans of the Avalanche. He is still not excellent defensively but I'd welcome him back anytime

Sounds stupid but Barrie would really help Edmontons D. If he came back you have Ekholm , Nurse , Bouchard , Kulak , Ceci and Barrie. Now the Ds looking better and everyone forgets Barrie played well with the Oilers it was an almost a perfect fit.

Barrie needs to go to a team that's looking for a dman to run the PP. A team looking to get more offense from their defensemen while even strength.
Tyson come back to Edmonton, you were a good fit and were the best defensemen for the team last year up until the trade! Oilers make it so. Tyson with Ekholm would be a great set up!
