    Duncan Keith and Prospect Forward Tim Soderlund to the Oilers for a 2022 Conditional 3 round pick and Caleb Jones neither team Retains any salary that’s actually the official trade

    Something that’s terrible for the oilers is the fact that Danil Chayka has top 4 upside and can fall to the 3rd. So it could be a very good defensive prospect and a guy with top4 potential for a 37 year old Duncan Keith

    To add context, Klefblom has a slim chance to play 21-22 season. I don’t really like this deal but he’s going to at least give us some offense. Right now, oilers need to buyout either Koskinen or Neal.

    I like Keith as a player and person. I think he'll help the Oilers team. But this trade was awful. For the assets going the other way CHI should've retained at least 25%. It may pan out, but this looks bad right now. Very risky.

    Update on the draft pick: It can become a 2nd-round pick if the Oilers make the Cup Final next year and if Duncan Keith is among the top-4 playoff ice time leaders after 3 rounds

    I think Edmonton is a desperate team to try and create a winning culture, I don't know how Duncan helps with that but nonetheless Holland knows to start trying to win because they have 4 years to do so otherwise Mcdavid and Co…Walk.

    I can't believe I'm saying this but this is fucking crazy!!! If the Oilers loose Larson because of this deal Holland must be fired!!! The saddest part is, that like Chiarelli, it's to late, the damage is done!!! Let's hope that Keith will skate and defend like a stallion for the next 2 years!?

    What does Edmonton have a ton of and will lose in expansion draft? Tons of very promising up and coming defensemen! Klueifbom is not coming back and if he does no guarantees and probably not cheap ! Where do we really need leadership—- on Defence! Will Duncan play on 1 st pairing consistently like in Chicago —-/ No ! Will he make the second or third pairing better—- absolutely ! Edmonton fans chased Petry and Schulz out of town, I guess they are no good ??? Wrong! Not to speak of goalies coaches and even GM’s ! So no don’t listen to our tickled fans ! Edmonton hockey bloggers , is Ken done changing the team —/ yeah no but us fans no it won’t work! Just listen to us —- Don’t do it Ken , plug your ears. also, Edmonton hockey tubers and media are constantly being harassed to come to NHL as GM’s and COACHES ! Yeah NO NO NO ! So Ken do what you do and do not listen to the noise! Do knee jerk reactions generally serve a Hockey team, well —- well no ! Sorry I think I’ll give Ken the benignity of a doubt! Have a great day

    Blackhawks fan here. Keith will bounce this season. He went through a nasty divorce and rarely saw his son who lives in Penticton. Keith will be happier and play better this season. He is a competitor.
