    Yes, Bear has a heavy shot. I would like him and Niemela to be our offensive guys going forward and draft Silayev and Sam Dickinson this year. Then bring Tanev in as vet presence. McCabe and Lagesson should hang around and as cheap value guys.

    Offer Rielly to Anaheim for Max Jones and the 2024 1st (Draft Silayev or Sam Dickinson; Silayev in logging 18 minutes in a mens league KHL already as a 17-year-old). Getting toughness and adding cap space is crucial. Especially if you want to keep the big 3 or 4.

    If someone will take Brodie and offer a 2nd (no money retained) take it and run.

    I think Bear is going to Vancouver because he played really well with Hughes and Hughes is now super saiyan lvl 4 which will help Bear even more. This will free up Hronek to drop to 2nd pairing with Soucy or Zadorov.

    Honestly Johnny I feel like Tanev will be a Maple Leaf and if Toronto can’t get Tanev then I have no idea why other options are out there that are as good as Tanev that will help this team out. Tanev has been linked to Toronto for years and I feel like now is the time to get him on your team. For years Toronto was interested and linked to Bertuzzi and it finally happened now it’s time to bring Tanev to help this team out in a big way so I hope that Toronto sees this defencemen by the end of the month/ the next couple of weeks or days

    Only way i see Leafs snatching Ethan Bear from Vancouver, is if they give him some term that Vancouver isn’t.

    20 days of hearing about Zadorov and he goes for nothing to the Canucks , I am calling BS and wont believe anything until a deal is done .

    Tanev retained for sure my 1st choice. What about Middleton from MIN as the second? Cap would fit and good sized two way defender.Can play up or down the lineup at 2.45M x2 -6ft 3 -210lbs and 27 years old.Think MIN may be a seller at this point .

    I don't think Tanev will fix the entire team struggles in the playoffs. They couldn't do it with Rielly, Brodie and Muzzin so I don't think they will do it with Rielly, Brodie and Tanev… Muzzin is much better than Tanev. The real problem is Matthews and Marner don't play like superstars in the playoffs they are just good. They need to be great.
