  1. Goalies scoring, D-men getting a touchdown, and pitchers hitting homeruns (R.I.P, except for Ohtani). Nothing is better.

  2. Correct me if I'm wrong but shouldn't Brodeur's second goal go to number 28? After Marty pokes the puck it goes off his skate before eventually going in the net

  3. I just realized, Scott Stevens was on the ice for both of the playoff ones. He was the one to clear it to Hextall in 1989, then he was the one to get out of the way of Brodeur in 1997

  4. Hey people who run the NHL YouTube channel, can we please have a updated video of the top 50 goals of all time please!

  5. There's a difference between scoring a goal and getting credit for one. It counts on paper but in reality they didn't physically shoot. Those shouldn't be included.

  6. People outside hockey have no clue how hard it is to use a 'plank' and a catching glove to shoot a puck. They are all amazing goals but the backhand @3:25 was even more special

  7. Doesn't matter who you cheer for, goalie goals are always awesome. As a Canucks fan, Nabby's goal was nice. Ullmarks was a LASER. the only thing bad about Ullmarks one is Jack Edwards…

  8. Hextall still the only 2 time G Sniper, but we'll see if anyone else does it. I wouldn't put it past Ullmark to do it again.

  9. Most of these aren't "goalie goals", they're "person who touched it last on the scoring team goals".
Still awesome moments. And that backhand? What?

  10. I decided to rank these in case anyone cares:

17 Brodeur (2013) – Own goal and he made an easy save

16 Brodeur (2000) – Own goal and all he had to do was paddle the puck away but the way the flyers managed to mess that up is hilarious.

15 Mason – Own goal and he only had to save a blue line slapshot

14 Noronen – Own goal but made a solid save at least

13 Ward – Own goal but a better save imo

12 Rhodes – Own goal but made the best save out of the own goals

11 Billy Smith – Own goal but bonus points for the first time a goalie was ever credited with a goal

10 Nabokov – Great shot but he was up the ice a bit and had a lot of time to line it up

9 Ullmark – Like Nabokov he had some time to line it up too but beauty of a shot

8 Osgood – Was also a little bit up the ice but he had to hurry it up quicker

7 Jarry – Didnt have much time at all but still fired an absolute laser and it didn't even land until the hash marks

6 Rinne – Basically shot it the entire length of the ice

5 Brodeur (1997) – Also the entire length of the ice but it just looked a bit more difficult to pull of than Rinne's

4 Hextall (1987) – Big bonus points for being the first goalie to score by actually shooting

3 Hextall (1989) – Bonus points for having the only playoff goalie goal

2 Theodore – A backhander goalie goal is absolutely insane. Could make an argument for #1

1 Mike Smith – One of my favorite hockey clips of all time. Fielded and placed that puck perfectly and still decided to try for it even with some pressure in his face. 0.1 on the clock also just makes it even better

  11. I remember Cujo came REALLY close to scoring a goal. Like Theodore he had a very strong Backhander

  12. I knew Marty scored a regular season and a playoff goal for real, but I didn't know he was also credited for two opposition own goals. He was the best AND luckiest goalie goal scorer of all time.
