    question. Do NHL teams make adjustments to say penalty kill, power play, forecheck etc. on the fly. Maybe mutiple zone entries multiple ways of breaking down a forecheck and so on. I know other sports the coaches i.e. baseball, football are able to identify what the opposition is doing and dictate solutions to beat a particular defence or offence??
    In Ottawa's case it appears, here are game plan regardless what they do and we are sticking to it.

    Belleville seems like a broken team this year, they are giving off really bad vibes. I wouldn't count guys like Smejkal or Sokolov out because they aren't producing on a dysfunctional team.

    Lots of hockey coming up for the Sens! They need to string together some wins and get this season back on track.. they have ganes in hand, but they need to actually show up for them.

    Guess you guys were wrong about the AHL and NHL team. Told you yet again… they’d be in meaningful games and the AHL would be terrible.

    Also told you they needed big 5-6D, not a 5’7” guy. That usually 3rd and 4th lines guys are about energy (hitting) and a 5’7” D ain’t gonna cut it. Also told you they need depth on Fs. Going after a guy like Chandler Stephenson or Alex Newhook should have been high priority. Imagine Norris, Stutzle, Stephenson and Pinto as your Cs.

    Also told you spending $7-$8M/yr on goalies when you don’t have the other pieces in place is dumb squared.

    Hopefully Staois brings in standards. A % of the cap that goes by F, D & G and then breaks it down by 1st -4th line (hint 4th line needs to be $4-$5M on current cap), 1-3 pairings and just a stable of BIG goalies making no more than $3M in current cap world.

    Emotional spending doesn’t work… ask the Leafs or the Oilers

    Frankly if Giroux left because he isn’t happy it would be upsetting, but maybe he shouldn’t back DJ so hard… if any player on that team is going to have DJ’s back as much as they do then they can’t be mad that the organization, they only have themselves to be mad at. Either it’s management or it’s the players. Maybe they’ll figure that out eventually. You can’t be mad at how a situation is going if you claim that you’re happy with the variables that are causing that situation. And I know some people will say “well what is he supposed to say if he’s asked about it?” You can respond to a question without really responding to a question. A simple, “we’re trying, we are what we are” can suffice without whining about the fans and saying that DJ is the answer, cause he’s clearly not.

    Sad!!! Can’t even think of 2 guys that really deserve a call up. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ On a team that’s hasn’t made the NHL playoffs in almost a decade.
