The Red Wings, without Larkin and losing Gostisbehere mid-game, showed good effort in New York, but ultimatley lost a frustrating game. The Rangers had the edge offensivley all game, putting up 41 shots, but stellar goaltending from Husso, timley blocked shots, and some lucky missed chances kept Detroit in it. Meanwhile the Red Wings struck twice in :23 seconds in the 2nd period to give themselves a lead thanks to Seider and Fabbri. But eventually missed opportunities on the PP and New Yorks speed gave them the lead late in the 3rd. Reffing was inconsistent as well, calling ticky-tack calls while missing obvious ones and the broadcast was one of the most biased telecasts i’ve ever seen. Blackhawks tomorrow. #lgrw

Refs were ridicuilously BAD!
Refs gave that game to the Rangers. It didn’t help that the Wings took their foot off the gas pedal in the 3rd, but the refs gave them a clear high stick goal. Multiple missed penalties, including the cross check to the face on Veleno, cross check on Debrincat & Gost.

I think we need to sit Rasmussen for kane. I loved how he played last year before he got hurt..but this year he isnt as assertive and not there defensively
Played better with the hot Rangers but could not weather the storm. Doing better in the neutral zone but could not clear their zone. Had not many rebounds to cash in on, but played better as a team.

Tnt broadcast is terrible, kissing Lundquist's ass for 30 min ridiculous. Albert n Carter are ok everyone else is a freaking hack. Mite as well have been an MSG rangers broadcast it was so biased. Bring back Kathryn Tappen.

Sucks that the Wings lost, but that was a really fun game to watch.
I can see why the NHL has a hard time growing the game. If I was a new fan coming into the leauge, the inconsistent officating would be enough for me not to give a shit about this sport. And it goes both ways, this calling calls to even the feild after a bad or missed call is BS. They preach about cutting down the high danger hits but they refuse to call them when they do happen.
The game tying goal was a direct result of Berrgren not picking up his man on a 5 on 5 situation. He ignored him. Go back and look at replay.

The way I see it is the first game against the Rangers, the Wings got smacked around for 60 minutes. This game, the Wings we're getting hit again but we're hitting back. The last game against NYR is at the LCA on April 5th and that is going to be madness. Tough loss, let's take it out on the Hawks tonight. If Husso can go, start him to keep his confidence going. And yeah, anytime the game is on TNT from now on, I'm trusting Ken Kal and Paul Woods. Rather listen to the game on the radio then deal with what we got last night. LGRW.
