Fiddler goes from hero to zero after knee-on-knee hit on Parayko

Watch as Vernon Fiddler is given a five minute major penalty for this knee-on-knee hit with Colton Parayko.

  1. A penalty obviously but not a major or a game misconduct, when you sidestep a hit there is always the chance this will happen its an unavoidable fact of a hitting game

  2. Is the penalty for kneeing completely random because I think I've now seen a no-call, a minor and a game misconduct for this same offense during the playoffs lol

  3. They have hurt 2 of our guys in 2 games, this one didnt seem intentional but still, hurting our players smh

  4. Preds fans complain too much. Clear calls and they whine. Missed calls and they whine. There have been plenty of bad calls this series so suck it up

  5. So when Kadri has a legal hit everyone bitches about it, but when Fiddler does an illegal hit everyone says it's a clean hit? Rules are rules. No interpretation. Black and white. Illegal knee hit is a game misconduct, no matter what.

  6. That's complete bullshit. Fiddler was trying to avoid contact. Still should've been a penatly but not a major or game misconduct. Unbelievable!

  7. Total bs. Fiddler should've received a minor at most, not a major and misconduct. It's the playoffs you really think he's trying to take out Parayko on purpose? Give me a break. By the way bs call on Ellis for embellishing. So you're telling me a guy can't throw his arms in the air when he falls anymore? Unreal.

  8. So when ovechkin does this he gets called a diver? I understand it's not the same but they both tried to dodge the hit and ovechkins leg in a different spot

  9. WAIT.

Did they actually talked it out at 0:18????
They didn't punched each other mindlessly?
    What is this , evolution??

  10. I don't really like the title being used here. The way Fiddler flew after the hit (fly in the air), I think he was not aiming the knee! He looked as if he meant to do a body check, shoulder to shoulder … and missed!

  11. lol at the comments… knee on knee is almost ALWAYS intentional. Fiddler does nothing to get out of the way and Parayko certainly didn't move into the knee on knee contact either. Dirty hit, he just tried to make it seem as innocent as possible

  12. So this is kinda funny. If you knee someone you either, keep playing, sit in the penalty box for x amount of minutes, or get kicked outta the game……. depending on what the ref feels like? Who makes the call on this, do they even watch what happened? This wasn't intentional but apparently this hit deserved a game misconduct??? How can players get a penalty/no penalty for this same action in other games….

  13. Props to parayko for going back in the game. Him and edmundson are really establishing their shutdown defense. 1 world class defender (Petro) and 2 young talented defenseman (eddy and parayko) I love it!
