After two convincing wins in a row, the Edmonton Oilers look to have found their identity. Connor McDavid is dominating the ice, Leon Draisaitl is scoring from his office, and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins is finding his 100-point touch, which leads to the question, are the Edmonton Oilers back?
It felt like last night when the Oilers put eight past the Anaheim Ducks. Despite going down early, the team never seemed troubled. Max Jones gave the Ducks a couple of leads, but goals from Connor McDavid, Zach Hyman, Leon Draisaitl, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Evander Kane, and Mattias Eklhom helped the Oilers cross the line.
Even with the win, Edmonton are still 7th in the Pacific Division. They have 15 points through their first 20 games, which puts them six points behind the Seattle Kraken in the final wildcard spot.

Tyler “avoiding the grind” Jahremchuck or somethin idk
The Oilers need to be scouting Jalen Chatfield a rhd from Carolina a fast skating defensive defenseman who can play physical. He is a upgrade on Ceci & cheaper contract. Probalbly could be acquired at a reasonable cost.
The Oilers should be monitoring Spencer Knights return in Charlotte and see if they cant pick him up either at the trade deadline or in the off season.

We’re finally on the right side of some much needed puck luck.
The only issue I dont likke about Deharnais is that he is a big man… and he doesnt use his size enough..is as physical as he should be.. he plays pokencheck defense too much and he gets burned
