    I agree with you.. you cant be benching Johnny twice, and other top players. They're proven performers, and need to play thru it

    You know I got a question on that why is it that these top players think they deserve it from any other player in the league I know they’re better. These guys get paid millions and millions of dollars and sponsorships added onto their plus bonuses look I was hockey for a long time. Do you wanna talk about hockey players go to the old generation I don’t care if it’s a different time these players are getting paid way too much. We live in a world of greed and selfish players without the fans. They wouldn’t get anything without sponsors they don’t get nothing so let’s stop talking about how they deserve this and that when we live in a world of Haese they chose a career helping them with their career so stop with this they deserve this money and they deserve this money when there’s other people in this world who deserve that type of money just because you’re a hockey player and you put on skates in the way you godoesn’t mean you’re better than anybody else but the world treat some better pampers better get them better live in space gives them deals at restaurants. Why people struggle what a world we live in. Wow I’ll tell you selfish selfish.

    As a season ticket holder with Columbus, Johnny and Patrick have NOT played great. They are being paid a big portion of Columbus cap space and made 3 goals this year COMBINED. This whole “I’ve earned the right” is BS. Yes Laine, that’s directed at you. IMHO Johnny has played decent and tries but shy to shoot the puck @ net. Laine, just doesn’t show the level of hockey that we’d’ expect from him.

    I agree with the benching of Gaudreau and Laine. They've both been under achieving for some time with no end in sight. Can't just assume they'll snap out of it without a kick to the behind. They have to earn their ice time like everyone else. Otherwise, the whole team concept falls apart. Let's see how they respond to this. If they go into a sulk about it, then we have some insight into their characters.

    Cgy doesn’t need a playmaker, they need a young players that can score. And if Cgy or any team giving up two D men that you want and taking back a shitty D contract, you better believe knives would be in the potential deal.

    Nylander should be making less then the top 2 those guys play defense and have their whole careers. Nylander only plays defense in contract years. Nylander never been close to 100 points or 60 goals. And don't make me laugh in any kind of Selke conversation.

    This is a very general comment pertaining to the Columbus Situation. For a longtime you sit a player, it makes big news. You have 2 really good ones sitting for the Blue Jackets. Yes the Coach may be putting his "Neck" on the line, especially a new head coach by sitting these 2. If it is for the Betterment part of the Team and Players….. Columbus does not have much to lose, and a lot to gain by getting the best out of their Star Players.

    If a player chooses less term, he usually get's less money, not the other way around !

    On the flip side, I know they are professional athletes but guys like Mathews have made more money then I ever will by retirement and I’m only 33 lol
