Call me crazy but I think it’s pretty hard to win a game if you dont shoot and also let in 7 goals. PP is somehow back though and we learned that Dan has never milked a goat

  2. YoungTroubadour

    2/2 on the PP😎

    *screams into the void*

  3. Rockhardwood

Don’t need a bottom 6 if well give up 6 even strength goals and only get 6 even strength shots. Math is math.

  4. Son_Of_The_Empire

7-2 is a weirdly low score for a football game between buffalo and the new jersey je- oh, no

  5. I’d rather be a doomer than someone who watches these games and thinks everything will be okay.

  6. BabyBottoms23

Devils won 7-2 and their goalie had a .833 save %. Hilarious.

  7. time2fly2124

we can just forget this game happened right?

  8. Character-Food2616

This team isn’t it. Fire everybody.

    Eager to hear the excuses…

    That was dreadful.

What makes things worse is the fact that the Devils haven’t been very good this year. As someone pointed out to me, they lost to Columbus yesterday.

The Devils knew exactly how to stop the Sabres when they got the puck. The Devils had a clear plan when attacking, and they’ve learned from others that you can easily reset in the o-zone.

This terrible play is 100% on Granato’s shoulders. His post-game interview better be full of humble pie, because he’s letting down the team and organization.

Like, there’s a laundry list of things wrong with this team. Not sure what could make the most difference in the short term and maybe get this team going in the right direction. Shot disparity is obviously what stands out tonight.

My guess would be a goalie that can keep them in games and steal a win on nights they don’t deserve it occasionally.

not our best showing, but we had two first-timers, injuries, and back to backs against NJ the first game back for Hischier, after Clifton injured him. I would have kept Comrie in for the rest of the game. It wasn’t his fault on any of the goals. And that was a kick.

  12. The Sabres got 11 shots, the Devil’s got 19 high danger scoring chances and 7 goals.

Embarrassing effort from top to bottom.

I can handle the losing it’s the looking pathetic I’m sick of. Do they have no self respect?

Remember a decade ago when we thought the modern game had passed Lindy by? Good times

Do we now go back to the doom and gloom and make a post tomorrow about it just like that shitty Donny post today?

Happy Rosen and Kulich got called up but its unfortunate the game went like that. Kinda sad for them that thats their debut. But they’ll get more chances hopefully. Didn’t get to really see what they could do. Can’t blame goaltending tonight. Nothing Comrie or Levi could do but I would of liked to see UPL get the start again. Its a B2B but he hasn’t played much so should of been fine. Also can’t deal with Clifton/E. Johnson combo anymore. Joker is sitting when hes better than both those guys. R. Johnson had his worst game too.

People will overreact but injuries are really starting to take its tole and it doesn’t help we had like 8 guys under 23 in the lineup. We also won’t ever be good if Okposo, Clifton and E. Johnson are playing on a consistent basis.

    11 shots – Maybe okie didn’t yell loud enough….

  17. barffolemeow

Not excusing anything but the mounting injuries are really bumming me out

    Edit: *are

  18. Track11T

Sucks to drop a deuce like this after a great win the night before.

See all you fellow sickos Monday

  19. CaresAboutYou

    Positives:

    – 2/2 on the power play

    That’s it, that’s the list.

Joking aside we weren’t even remotely close to competitive tonight at any point lmao. Devils played a REALLY good 60 minutes, they were SO on top of getting people into those high danger areas. I was really impressed by their performance. Hopefully someday we will win two games in a row again.

  20. dobekstj1

Maybe they can start looking at the local bar leagues for available talent?

  21. YanisAdetokumbo

So when does Granato seat start getting hot? Or has it been?

  22. Good news is Kane is either going to Florida or Detroit it sounds like.

  23. IAmDixonWood

I paid about $41 per Sabres shot to enjoy that with my gf

  24. edit-the-sad-parts

team has looked broken the entire year and if that wasn’t the best example of it idk what was.

for a relatively fast team with a ton of youth, they play slow. lose races to pucks, players routinely have no passing options cuz the team is awful off the puck, lose coverage cuz they’re always a stride or two behind the man going to the net…

they look like they’re constantly thinking the game. and they can’t pass

  25. StartButtonPress

Holy shit the whole entire team had an xgf% below 50 at 5v5. I’ve never seen that before.

    15/18 below 25%!

  26. Responsible-Fox-9082

Well… I had hope for Comrie, but if we are going to let teams push us back into just chilling on defense for 59:45 then I guess this is going to be rough. I get we finally went back to a normal 12-6 and we had to install Kulich and Rosen with basically 0 time, but how the fuck do we not put up 5+ goals against the Devil’s?

Like I will never be a doomer, but like for fucks sake Kulich and Rosen weren’t playing like Savoie and looking lost so why the fuck was New Jersey playing find the hole all night?

  27. AddictionsExWives

Granato’s answers in his postgame presser were literally “I don’t know”

  28. Sonny_Zwack

I’d rather take a 7-2 spanking than another 3-2/4-3 chase the lead the whole way game. Really hope it shakes these motherfuckers up. Yeah some guys are playing a line or two above their britches but they are also playing for their next contract. Play like you fucking mean it, eh? Fuck.

And the amount of people whining for the coach to be fired . . . . HAHAHAHA

They don’t have to dip that far into Sabres lore to find out how many losses in a row it took to get the last guy fired.
    It’s just not gonna happen.

  29. seafoam-dream

7-2 but don’t worry it wasn’t as close as the score indicates

  30. spacepotato_

Surprised the post game thread bot didn’t yeet themselves off a cliff

  31. This November schedule of home games on Friday and road games on Saturday is completely garbage

  32. deGrominator2019

I am absolutely sick of this shit. Something needs to fucking change, fast. This team should NOT fucking be playing like this considering the progress we saw last year, they are fucking WORSE than last year and they’ve pissed away any positive energy and good will us fans had with their play last year and their letters to fans and all that bullshit. START FUCKING WINNING, START SCORING FUCKING GOALS, START MOVING THE OTHER FUCKING TEAM AWAY FROM THE NET WE LET THEM SIT IN FRONT ALL THEY WANT

  33. slightlyuglyboss

Being a Sabres fan is embarrassing ~~sometimes~~ all the time

  34. RedditorDave

I’m in Philly for the bills game and was planning on going to the Sabres game (90 min drive each way).

    Sooo glad we skipped lol
