This has NEVER happened in the NHL

The NHL has NEVER seen what the Tampa Bay Lightning achieved last night against the Carolina Hurricanes. Antti Raanta gave up 8 goals on just 14 shots as the Lightning scored 8 goals on 14. That is a 57.1% shooting percentage, the highest recorded in NHL history. I felt horrible for Raanta as he really had no shot at saving about 6 of those 8 in a night that marked the return of Andrei Vasilevskiy for the Lightning. It was a wild game and I cover it all in todays NHL hockey video!

  1. I was at that game. What a rush. 50% shooting. The lightning are bad this season. Really bad, their offensive is a mess, so few shots on goal. But man, last night was insane

  2. I think I’m going to file this under the title “phenomenal” as clearly this was a perfect example of lightening striking not just once….but 8TIMES IN A ROW!!! 💥👊😆💥⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️

  3. Tanner Jeannot had 7 hits last night. The entire Hurricanes team had 4. They are so pathetically soft and signing a weasel like Michael Bunting doesn’t do anything to change that.

  4. As a Canes I would have never imagined such a rough start to our season, especially given our off season 😭

  5. Further proof that the only stat that matters is goals. (And points I guess too.)

  6. As a Canes fan…Raanta embarrassed himself and his team. He showed his age and inability to recover between games….he should have never been in the crease….Kochetkov should be.
