NJ DEVILS ACQUIRE RYAN MURRAY / SCHNEIDER BOUGHT OUT / 2020 DEVILS DRAFT CLASS



This video discusses alot of New Jersey Devils news. The NJ Devils traded with the Columbus Blue Jackets and acquired Defenseman Ryan Murray. Murray will stabilize the Devils Defense for the upcoming season. Schneider was bought out today and the Devils will look into free agency to add another veteran net minder to help Mackenzie Blackwoods game. Also went over RFAs that where given Qualifying Offers and the 2020 Nhl Draft class that the NJ devils drafted in all the rounds.

    All good moves . Murray is low risk, it was Corey’s time(pick up Talbot or Greiss), and all picks. My favs obv Holtz, Mercer(could be a steal along with the Russian), and Daws. Think we go for Duclair?👀 maybe

    Personally idk why we bought out Schneider, like you said, I thought we were going to ride out the last two years of the contract. Makes no sense to me to make this move and spend $2M over 4 years vs $6M over 2 years when we aren't competing for the cup let alone playoffs in an already dynamite metro division. Maybe that is the cynic in me hahaha. I liked the trade today – 5th rounder for a dman like Murray is pretty great odds. I liked our drafting – Holtz is a few yrs away but exactly what we need. I doubt we get anyone big in free agency, we never do. Nobody wants to come to NJ let alone NJ in a rebuilding state hahaha. Only way we get a big fish is in a trade imo.     We traded the 5th RD pick we got from Buffalo for Wayne Simmonds. Who can complain about a Simmonds for Murray trade? Let's go Devils!

    I like the Murray trade. He can’t be any worse than our D was last year. Too many injuries for Schneider. Do you think we could go after fluery or Matt Murray in net? A possible re union with recchi?

    Dude, another awesome video! What a fun week! Not even over yet! I think the trade will 100 percent be a win for us, of course health dependent, and Schneider getting let go makes me sad. I always had this hope he could pull it out because he was a vacuum until he got hurt!

    The Only thing the Devils should be doing is taking on other Contracts to Acquire More High End Draft Picks or Trading Suban while retaining most of his salary. There is NOT a Premier Forward available in Free Agency This Year (Except Hall and we are not going back there). Sign Blackwood and Bratt to Extensions and accumulate more draft picks. Best thing we can do right now.

    If Murray can stay on the ice, then Fitz basically stole him. Nice job trading dead salary for a top 4 D man.

    Would love for things to workout this year, but if the team isnt in the playoff race then Murray is prime rental player material, and if NJ eats some salary they can definitely get more than a 5th back at the deadline. Very little risk for NJ with this trade.
