5 Norris level season for Makar vs 1 for Hughes. Let's see if he can even repeat what's happening a year from now before there's even a conversation. Cherry picking offensive stats when there's more GP isn't a high level hockey analysis.
Quinn Hughes (and the entire team) has been feasting on the dregs of the Western Conference by outscoring Edmonton and San Jose 27 to 7 across 4 games.
The Canucks team (and Hughes) will come back to reality by the end of December.
Been a Canucks fan since I watched the 94 playoffs when I was 12 and discovered pro hockey. I love the Canucks and Iām so proud of their hot start but I donāt think theyāve really been challenged yet. Hughes is my favorite player along with Petey and he was the right choice for captain. Heās having a wonderful year but idk that heās ābetterā than Makar. Theyāre different defenders and theyāre both elite god-tier, Iād be happy to have either on my team but idk that Iād say heās better quite yet. Jumping the gun a little. Letās let the kid prove it over the next couple of years huh?
"The fact that we're even having this conversation" You shouldn't be, that's the thing. I understand the Canadian markets loooveee talking about things like this, but the "gap" hasn't closed at all. All that's happened is Quinn has put himself in a firm second place after a good start from the Canucks.

Not after last night
LMAO TSN use to be so good.
A few good weeks. Slow your role TSN. š
He can't unless Makar gets injured. Makar is just the superior player even if Hughes is having a great run.

How are people even asking this question after last nights game? A day late and a dollar short… that train crashed and burned. Makar better

Good team to play with = more points
He can't. These Canadian networks trying up puff up Hughes are so pathetic. Makar owns Hughes, and the Avs own the Canucks. Deal with it.
If last night wasnāt a sign to just pump the breaks a bit I donāt know what is.
Canadian media is such a joke
