Monty est un numéro 1 ….de transition. Meaning once you have found a young man able to gain 50% of his games you trade Monty. Keep Primeau in the meantime for development and get a better deal if you trade him later on and back up for Monty. Trade Oldie Allen first draft choice and future consideration.

Used to Button and all of the all so called "professionals" disrespecting Montreal. It's both very obvious and sad.
I mean the top 50 players under 24 list had Matt Cornato and Tom Willander but no Slaf, Hutson, Guhle, Roy or Logan Stankoven so yeah pretty terrible list.

I would put our prospect pool up against any other team in the league. As soon the core group “arrives” the rest of the league will see. Also, I know there are tons of trade talks surrounding Allen, Monty, and Primeau. I think of the 3, trading Monty would be HUGEEEEE mistake!
Hutson and ghule are A for me it s not about ours that trigger me but more about how the others are much higher than they are suppose to be
I honestly don’t care much about prospect assessments before they touch the NHL, KHL inconsistent, Olympics full of amateurs and retirees, 1 pts+ per game guys in the AHL or Juniors can be 4th liners or worse, sheltered minutes at the university, development league or some European league dont care.
Sure an excellent player will have good numbers before the NHL, a prodigy will have mind boggling ones most of the time, but there is absolutely no certainties about anything in this process a first pick overall can be a Slafkovsky, a Yakupov, an Alexandre Daigle, Rick Dipietro or Alexander Ovechkin, sometimes the year is a bad vintage, sometimes the guys making the selection are.
How many top10 picks couldn’t play in the NHL ? How many first rounders ? These guys are supposed to be the crème de la crème, almost guaranteed NHLers selected by people that it’s their full time job to assess prospects and they are often times completely wrong in the best or worst case scenario.
He apologized on Melnick, said he missed Ghouli. Habs have a lot of D, it's almost nuts, if all healthy they can have like 9 or 10 D-men that can do the job. Eventually they will need to trade some when Reinbacher and Hutson come in, Mailloux not sure.
