Whole situation is very weird to me, especially since the social media team was talking him up being great with the kids at practices. Hopefully they address it head on instead of beating around the bush

Wtf is going on?

Hereās a really stupid scenario brought to you by too much Thanksgiving bourbonā Has this been a long con by Corey Perry?
Imagineā Heās hated and been hated by the Blackhawks for years, he never got over 2015. So in an effort to get signed here, heās cultivated a years long reputation of being a great teammate and locker room guy. Fast forward to 2023, he saw the writing on the wall in Tampa and knew heās playing days were coming to an end. It was the perfect time to execute his plan. He approaches TBās GM and asks to have his rights traded to Chicago, to be a role model to the kids and a big part of the teamās culture. After trust was gained, he gives Kyle Davidsons car a Chicago Sunroof or something and rides out of town, laughing his ass off at the chaos he leaves behind.
But seriously I hope itās nothing serious and if they choose to keep it in house, thatās fine. Hopefully we havenāt seen the last of him here.

This feels like more than just being late for practice or the bus, etc. A singular incident like that seemingly wouldn’t extend beyond one game. He has had such a positive impact on the team’s compete and handling of adversity. I hope he comes back. We need him to help weather this tough season.

Sounds to me like maybe he ran his mouth a bit too much probably about the poor performance lately and was asked to step away for awhile. Idk, all speculation at this point.

I hope it’s trade related and nothing serious beyond that. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t want him to be traded, but the alternative reasons for him being mia are not great. The whole “we’ll miss him” thing and talks about pushing aside all the outside noise makes me think this isn’t something that will be fixed over the weekend unless it’s trade related.
Could also be that they don’t want to announce a trade until after Thanksgiving so any involved players can enjoy the holiday without the added stress of having to pack their shit and start looking for a new place to live. At this point I’m just rambling I guess
