    8 million 7 years or trade him. He is a good player. But never will be a great player because he is scared to go into corners or scrums.

    Thought Timmins was a brilliant get by Dubas. Assuming good health, there's your replacement for Klingberg next year at 1.1M. The Leafs will have enough cap room to accomodate Nylander even if his aav skates up to 10.5M. I believe Brodie, who can still play imo, will come back for 3-4M. 24/25 wil be the last year of the 11M aav for JT & like Brodie, he will likely come back for half of what they're paying him now, so Toronto will have ample room to upgrade their D & the bottom 6 of their roster. I doubt Bertuzzi comes back & it's entirely possible that one of, or possibly both Minten &/or Cowan make the Leafs next year giving them lost cost replacement talent vs pricey UFA's, along with Knies & Robertson, assuming none of them get dealt in a trade.
