Yes, the slow motion makes it look worse. But is "skates lock" the best term? Is there nobody else who thinks this looks borderline intentional from McAvoy? He turns his left skate upwards in a pretty unnatural motion. Maybe three weeks ago, I wouldn't think so, but after his hit on OEL, I'm starting to get a "Dirty player" feeling about McAvoy.
That was a trip without a call. Thompson was cut, hence the trip to the locker room. I'm not sure it was intentional, but it was very clearly a missed call.
