Allen dropped the ball every time the Blues tried to make him a starter, it’s why Binnington did what he did. Maybe he got better with no pressure in Montreal but is it really the goalie you’re gonna put all your chips into?
Why not try to put Connor Brown in the trade? Gets the Canadiens some value and the oilers out of a tricky spot with that deal. Obviously there would be more involved but you could get some serious value there
