Even today I rather have a hellebuyck,Sorokin,Shesterkin,Vasilevskiy, sometimes a goalie looks good in a system but isn't a top guy if left that team.

I see oilers D or forwards out of position almost all the time. Goalie is the problem, but defensive play is a bigger problem. They used to outscore the opposition, but now, when they hit the dry spell, they are screwed. Remind me of leafs a few years back.
Yeah, they need a better goalie but more importantly and urgently, they need to play some level of defense. Until they play NHL level defense at even an average level, Iām not even sure one of the Top 5 Goalies ever would be able to help them much.

McDavid and Draisaitl need to learn to play defense, they basically mope around in their own zone waiting for their teammates to bail them out, while taking a huge chunk of cap space for themselves. Oilers management pay 2 way forward prices for the most specialized players in the game.
