The reason scoring is not as good as it should be is because I see literally every single shift 1/2/3 good decision then ALWAYS a bad decision to kill a rush. The players shooting IQ is very low just loads of shots right at the goalie making it easy for him or in some games loads of shots missing the net.
AGE time will not fix most of the problems players are too soft on the puck we lose way too many battles and because we are so weak on the puck we also struggle to get it out of the defensive zone.
Some players are trying too hard to set up COLE and others instead of shooting. We need to see a LOT more simple hockey get shots on net and players get to the net for rebounds.Look at Gallagher's last goal he was in the goalies face all game long and he scored because of it.Versus Calgary it was mostly what I said prior every single shift was good decision bad decision we just couldn't complete our rushes with a finish.
First comment?? I believe in Slafkovsky!
They play stupid hockey. Don't change the angle on shots, don't do enough screens. Can' pass the puck. Fire at bad angles to lose possession. All low hockey IQ stuff.
Nice Slaf breakdown ✨️ I wish we could see Slaf more confident on the ice. More square and solid on his skates and execute nifty moves
you guys must be off your rocker .RHP gets fourth line minutes !!!!!! and I'm tired of you so-called habs fans saying rebuild…. Habs don't rebuild we win, and we play harder and win and we skate faster and win and we coach better and win and we only played for one thing the cup!!!!!!!
Montreal hasn’t been a goal scoring team for a few years now. Scoring has always been an issue.
They need two guys up front that can fight and I mean fight old Time hockey . Make space for the scorer
we played in the canadian division during covid … it was like playing junior varsity, then we got hot in the playoffs… we sucked before & after… you have been talking rebuild for 8 years now…. canadian teams are all a joke since 1998!!!!
we have some players. our system stinks… we want bigger stronger faster or skilled players… & we play non aggressive hockey especially on the PP & PK!!! does that make sense???? play the best guys & make them play harder & we can win!!!!
You guys can't wait to pick them apart. Anderson, for instance. He has a slump literally every year. Where ya been? You ponder to the luke warm hockey fan. It's all about far-out speculation. That type of fan hasn't played more than the house league. They know nothing about hockey, and half of them are trolls(toxic). You do this to get somewhere, but you're too green to see the big picture. The guys that make the real money don't talk with the freaks. They teach them. You're a long way from that, but that doesn't mean you can't get there. Up your game, boys! You can be better than your peers. They don't get it either. I used to hang out with the old guys when I was young because I'm smart, not full of myself. Cheers
If the goalposts were an inch wider, Josh Anderson would be a 50 goal scorer already ! lol He's becoming associated with a 4 letter word . . . . . . . . . PING ! Sorry – bad joke
Lafreniere and Kotkaniemi are becoming the players they were expected to be. Give Slafkovsky time folks…
You could start by growing a pair and talk about the biggest hockey story in the world. You're being scooped by literally every lame-stream media guru. That's embarrassing! Thought hockey was your thing? Guess you're scared of the NHL. That's embarrassing, too! Can you see the big picture or not?
RHP is over rated lol! He wouldn’t crack half the teams lineup even as a 4th liner
Things are gonna change and your way behind.
Don’t you guys find odd that for a team having so much issues finding good scorers in the modern era, the Canadiens are also horrible at finding depth scoring and has issues keeping whatever little they find ?
Why every time we find a player performing in the past we get rid of em the second they don’t over perform ?
Depth scoring isn’t something you can easily buy at free agency, its something you built through the years through drafts, waivers, scouting, trades, luck, smart contracts, you gotta find local discounts as well and good old vets …
Trade Anderson
I love how Anderson is playing. He’s among the fastest players in the league and has been finding open ice and getting great looks. When the dam breaks, he’ll go on a tear.
