Idk about giving a star for 1 assists over giving it to the goalkeeper that kept the local team in the game or the guy who actually did the goal, especially if its his first in the local uniform or in NHL career.
Doing it multiple times is also … it’s really odd.
Slaf was great tonight again, a lot of good little things and he could have had a few more assists tonight if guys could finish. He also had 4 hits, couple blocks and lot of good zone entries. His confidence is building.
Good player reviews of the game tonight DD. There are players that come and go as they play for the Habs, but there are those special ones who no matter where they end up finishing up their careers, have a CH logo on their heart, and Gally is one of them. Dvorak has impressed me since he returned after a long layoff, Arber needs to play with a regular stable partner to help him out, I felt bad for Ylonen's mediocre play tonight as it shows he was rusty from being a healthy scratch. I hope he gets some consistent games to play without being scratched. Habs wasting his potential offensive abilities esp his speed&shot…he's not a superstar but he's unfortunately being lost in the shuffle IMO.
Imagine how bad Monahan must want to score against Calgary, they actually paid us to take him, and not just a little, they gave us a 1st round pick to take him (as we all know), that's gotta be tough on the old confidence!! Also, I would prefer to have Pez in over Ylonen, i do like ylonen, but i just like the passion pez brings, especially when he has to sit a game or two, and his first game back, he is always a spark plug!!! Another good video bro, thanks!!
Hey bud ! Good takes ! Definitely snakebit for a few guys but it has to break sometime soon. Really liked Slafkovskys game. Improving all the time. The disappointment for me lately has been Newhook. Fast but that's about it. Monty looked good last night again too. GHG
We got good little players but lack anything close to Elite Goaltending is par. I also think St – Louis is a good coach but learning. I'm on the tank train 15 games in. Slafkovsky, Reinbacher and then we need an actual super star. It's not bad luck with Caufeild and Anderson hitting all these crossbars coach need to show them to take a little off there shots.
I said it before &will say it again trade Caufield while he is still valuable Most of his goals are 3on3 which is nice but there is no 3on3 in the playoffs
3rd star😂😂😂 does that have any meaning? 😂😂 They obviously give him the 3rd star so he doesn’t crumble under the pressure , they want to give us fans the illusion that he’s getting better so the team doesn’t have to explain that blunder. 31 teams doesn’t hand out stars to loser like the habs does , the equivalent of a tenth place ribbon. Again Slafkovsky looks like a guy who was picked off waivers not a 1st overall, the faster the habs realize that , the better off they’ll be, or they can waste 5 years trying to accommodate him to the déterrant of other players like they did with drouin.
Maybe some of you are blinded by your love for the habs which takes all credibility from your bias opinion , here’s some fact from a realistic habs fan ……. Anderson, Slafkovsky, newhook, kovacevik, Harris , montembault, allen are all garbage , caufield is overrated and can’t even score 5 on 5 , Dach will never comeback to his former self as no one in sports history has ever done it after such injury , and regardless of what your grandmas told some of you , we have nothing in term of A prospect in the system , that includes Roy, Reinbacher and Hutson. This rebuilt took a wrong turn when they hired Lapointe and Brobov
This happens with younger teams. We can test my thesis that younger teams will get call more than older teams when the habs face the Penguins. I will bet the house that the Penguins will get more powerplays in that game.
Montreal seems to always get it going for contending teams but fall short when it comes to sub par teams, hate to say it but I predicted them losing to the flames.

Good news about Slaf!
If Caulfield is not lighting the lamp by Christmas, then something is wrong, that surgery is likely affecting his shot.

Not sure if I’m going in and out of consciousness during the last few games but has Xhekaj been staying out of the box?!?!?!

I would like to see Slav getting more physical, with that size, come on! Also Arber doing better, agreed!
