  1. Wow. Hate to say it but hockey is getting so soft. This wouldn't even have made the hit highlight reel for a playoff game 10 years ago. Figure it out NHL.

  2. Refs were so scared to make a bad call like this again that they decided not to call anything short of attempted murder later in the BOS vs TOR game

  3. You have to feel bad for the canes. The game would have been much different with Ferland in, and ovechkin getting the 5 minute penalty instead. Ferland always set the tone with his hits, but this call was hot garb.

  4. I thought Ovies check where he leaves his feet and hit the Canes player in the head should have been 5 mins and an ejection…but the same reason Kuchie only got 1 game vs 3!

  5. He was headhunting, I'm glad he was ejected, his only thought was to blindside the guy which is why he came all the way across like that.

  6. Ass to the chest, 5-minute match. Dumba concusses Backlund earlier in the season, no call.

  7. Hahahaha man this is a joke. Playoff hockey clean hit and you call something that you obviously didnt see. P.s dont care who wins but dont ruin the game.

  8. That call is disgraceful, it's not a charge as he was not striding, Dowd is reaching out, eye on the puck only not on his surroundings, this is an example of what is ruining hockey. The ONLY actual semi-logical penalty is the guy from behind who high sticks the guy up high slightly. You're an NHL player in the PLAYOFFS, KEEP YOUR HEAD UP AND BE AWARE OF WHAT'S AROUND YOU!

  9. Everyone saying bad call didn't watch it live. Looked really bad to you saw the replay where it doesn't look bad at all. Can't blame them as dowd was forced to leave fr the hit. If they are allowed to check replay they would take it bad. The elbow on the other hand should been the 5. And probably should be a game for Hamilton

  10. I just realized the only call here is that he gets high sticked. Foegele tries to lift his stick but he extends it and Foegele misses and catches his neck.

  11. he was going to hit with the arm then he lowered it at the last second and his head hit ferlands back
