Sad it came to this. One of the last guys from our darkest years, and one of the more endeared players. you’d think he’d understand and be sympathetic. Maybe he’d feel different is he saw how much we pay just to fucking park and pay his salary.
You know what would shut us up? A 10 game win streak, no doubt of a playoff berth, and a Stanley Cup.

Honestly so disappointed with Casey about all of this. He’s been my favorite Islander for years now and was probably going to get his jersey soon. You do not pick fights with fans as a pro athlete, plain and simple. Dealing with the chants and taunts and calls for firing from fans is part of the reason why these guys get paid millions of dollars, it simply comes with the territory. Telling people who essentially pay your salary and are the only reason why you live a luxurious/easy lifestyle to stay home is a slap in the face to fans who spend their hard earned money on overpriced tickets and parking to support that has been mediocre for years now. Why so many of these guys do not understand this I will never understand.
The vast majority of you responding to this nothing burger of a story are losers. Your baby brain “we pay his salary” whining is embarrassing. The same fanbase that was proud of the fact we bullied Dobson off twitter. A few steps removed from Toronto fans sending death threats. Stay classy Long Island.
