Training to break a World Record!

The longest continuous bike trail in the world…aka ‘The Munda Biddi Trail.’

Located in my home town of Perth, Western Australia, I’ve been preparing to break the existing record of 2 days and 17hours along the 1,070km stretch of single trail for a number of months now.

My final goal for the season, I recently spent 3 days in Andorra, at altitude, undertaking 26 hours of training to test my mind, body, equipment and nutrition. I documented the whole thing so that I could share with you guys, just how I prepare for this style of event.

Preparing to tackle your first ultra-cycling event and got questions? Hit me in the comments!

  1. Awesome bikepacktrip. 👌🏻 One question: why not wearing leg warmers when temperature is around 0 degrees?

  2. Lookin lean mate…saw the last video of your fat loss…very inspiring…got me tracking my food again.

  3. Hopefully these spot fires are sorted by the time you start Jack. MB closed in sections atm. I start in Albany tomorrow and not sure how far up I’ll get 🤷‍♂️. Good luck!

  4. As you are doing long hours in the saddle, I am interested if you have done a bike fit and if this set-up is specific for your adventures (climbing – gravel …) Once again, cool video man!

  5. Hey Jack, your an absolute machine but don’t under estimate the pea gravel on the Munda biddi, it took me out a few times on my end to end, especially when your buggered

  6. On the dynamo, I wonder if you could run that into a little box with a switch & USB. That way you could power your light and/or charge your devices while riding and maybe no need to take a lithium battery (or smaller one only for backup purposes).

  7. Lovely video, incredible effort ahead; you are an inspiration, Jack! One question – what size is the Tailfin toptube bag? They make 3 sizes, yours seems to be just the right one… Cheers & good luck down there!

  8. Breaking that record looks like it will be a serious effort — not much time for sleep in that. With all that physical exertion and lack of sleep I'd be hallucinating during hour 50.

  9. Great video…If I can ask one question it is with all these miles on the bike how are your hip flexors? Seems to me you must need a fair amount of time to stretch following your rides.Good luck heading back to Australia😀

  10. You know what bothers me? That you take the time to answer every comment. Amazing effort. This channel is just going to get bigger and bigger, no way you’ll be able to do that soon! Go Bloke, you’re doing riding that most of us can only dream of doing… Wife, mortgage, job, three kids and the whole catastrophe….😂
