And again we blow it in the final seconds of the game and lose in some type of overtime, it’s getting sickening at this point, gotta figure something out

On one hand it’s been encouraging to see them claw back and take the lead against tough teams knowing last year they would’ve just dropped dead at the first deficit. On the other hand it’s super frustrating to see them shoot themselves in the foot and turn 2 points into 1 or 0
Patty said it best yesterday though. They’re a young team, they need to learn to play with the lead
So now we’re the inverse of last season. We keep blowing it in the third period, and goaltending is not the problem.
I’m struggling to figure out the last time I’ve seen us have an actual cycle in the o zone without a power play…we can only generate offense off the rus, no sustained pressure.
Us: We need you to play for 60 minutes and 2 points.
CBJ: Best we can do is 59:49 and an OTL
I’m gonna try this new experiment the next couple of games where I don’t watch and see if they win. Wish me luck
Bean and Boqvist both played under 10 minutes in a game that went 65. It’s hard to even get mad at 8-44 and 9-78 (few moments aside) when they essentially have to run 4D the entire game because there are two absolute liabilities below them. I know his game isn’t 100% up to speed yet, but this team needs Jiricek in the lineup for stability purposes at minimum.
